But Ivan Matviyenko's case is completely unique. A man of quite a mature age, a successful music producer and businessman, decides to take up sculpture during the COVID-19 hiatus. Ivan Matviyenko picked up clay for the first time at the age of 62, and he is now 64.
During this time, he has created a large number of unique sculptural works, which resulted in two personal exhibitions at the Erarta Museum of Contemporary Art and the Exhibition Hall of the Union of Artists.
The 20th century art knows many names of artists who didn't receive academic education, but created their own original artistic styles and were able to gain fame - either during their lifetime or, like Gauguin and Van Gogh, after their earthly completion.
